I know we haven't even gotten to Thanksgiving yet, but now is the time to start your holiday gift buying.
The Trolley Depot and Salemdipity have great gift ideas and stocking stuffers.
Come in and check out our fantastic selection of glass ornaments starting at just $2.50. From an ornate Celtic cross to a sushi roll, you're sure to find one you love.
Need a host(ess) gift? How about a wonderfully scented Reiki charged candle, a coffee table book on Salem, or a generously sized mug covered in Shakespearean quotes on love?
Someone on your list love to cook and entertain? We have ice trays in the shape of skulls & cross-bones, Easter Island heads, icebergs & ocean liners and more. There's also a "table saw" for cutting cakes and lettuce, the Twinkie cookbook, and mix stix; wooden spoons with drumstick handles, for putting rhythm in your kitchen.
Looking for some interesting stocking stuffers for under $10? We have Pac-Man and Mario Bros energy drinks, a set of magnets that look like wads of chewed gum, Bog Frogs candy, pirate bandages, glo in the dark zombie duck, sock monkey key covers, Uglydolls, handmade earrings, silver charms, and tons of bumperstickers.
We're open 7 days a week, 9:30 am - 6 pm. Shop local, you'll be glad you did.

It's all over till next year.
Well, we did it. We managed to survive yet another Halloween in Salem. Reports estimate up to 100, 000 people were downtown that night. Let me tell you, it felt like every one of them came through our doors. Whew! I'm still tired.
Now that it is officially "off-season" our hours will cut back a bit. We're still open 7 days a week, just not till 8 or 9pm. Our hours are now 9:30am-6:00pm. Our sister store on Pickering Wharf, Salemdipity is open 11:00am-5:00pm, also 7 days a week.
We still have some witch hats left. They're 50% off so this is a good time to stock up for next year.

What a weekend!
What a busy weekend we had in Salem.
On Saturday, there was a small zombie invasion. The second annual Salem Zombie Walk began at Collins Cove and culminated at The Lobster Shanty with a performance of the Thriller dance and free brain hors d'oeuvres. I hope they end the march that way from now on, too fun!
Sunday was the Bootiful Pets Contest on the Common. There were lots of cute dogs in costumes and so many creative doggie parents. There were first, second, and third place prizes given in each category; Scariest, Cutest, Most Original, Dog & Owner, and Funniest. Each entrant received a goodie bag of treats (my dog keeps staring at the spot we put his bag). It was great fun. I'm already planning next years costume.

It's Baaackkk!!
This is it, less than 24 hours before October is here and Haunted Happenings begins. Whee!
The Grand Opening Parade kicks off tomorrow night at 6:30pm. It travels right past The Trolley Depot so pop in before or after the parade for a little shopping.
This year's theme is "Night at the Museum". With all the museums in Salem, there certainly are a lot of ideas to work with. Not just the Witch Museums, Haunted Houses and Pirate Museum but how about the PEM for some costume ideas? Maritime history, Indo-Asian art, Architecture, Surfing, Trash Menagerie, Indian Gods, the Natural World... there's so many possibilities!! I can't wait to see what people have come up with.
See you there!
